The latest reports have revealed that Chelsea defender and Germany international Antonio Rudiger has given a new demand to remain at Stamford Bridge.

It is no longer news that Rudiger’s current contract will lapse at the end of this season.

However, against previous reports that the defender was keen on leaving Chelsea, Rudiger has dropped a new hint that he would like to remain at the West London club.

For this reason, he has set a new demand for Chelsea, reportedly worth £46 million.

According to Marca, Rudiger wants his proposed new contract at Stamford Bridge to be worth a whopping £46m, with Chelsea’s opening offer of £135k a week ‘upsetting’ the former Roma man.

If Rudiger fails to reach an agreement with the Blues on an extension, then he may to signing for one of Bayern Munich, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United, who have all shown interest to sign him.

So far this season, Rudiger has two goals and two assists to his name from 22 Premier League appearances.

Rudiger, 28, has won the UEFA Champions League, FA Cup and Europa League with Chelsea; hopefully, a Carabao League trophy will be added this season.
