Manchester United striker and Portugal international, Cristiano Ronaldo has been linked with moves away from Old Trafford.

Should he decide to leave when the transfer window reopens in January Ronaldo is likely to join a club playing in the Champions League.

The Portugal striker had tried to force a move away from the Red Devils in the summer but it didn’t work out.

This saw Ronaldo play in the Europa League for the first time in his senior career.

Since Erik ten Hag’s arrival, Ronaldo has been scarcely used in the Premier League and could try to move again in the winter window.

The report revealed UEFA rules would allow the five-time Ballon d’Or winner to sign for a team in the Champions League in January and play in the knockout rounds in the new year.

This is even though Ronaldo has made three appearances for Man United in the Europa League this season.
