Ronaldo to start vs Man City
The latest report has confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will be available to start for the Red Devils when they take on Man City in the Premier League this weekend.
Since December, Ronaldo has struggled to score goals for the Red Devils in the EPL, and there had been speculations that Bruno Fernandes could start as a false nine for the Red Devils against the Citizens.
However, according to The Sun, Ronaldo will again get the nod through the middle, with the club’s interim manager hoping that a week between matches will have helped ‘re-energise’ the attacker.
The 37-year-old has scored 15 times in 30 appearances for Man United this season, including nine goals in 23 Premier League outings, with his last strike coming against Brighton & Hove Albion on February 15.
Ronaldo has a contract at Old Trafford until June 2023, but there have been claims that he could look to leave the 20-time English champions during this summer’s transfer window.
