Man Utd star Cristiano Ronaldo has been trending following his interview with Piers Morgan, where he spoke about how the club betrayed him by making him stay put this season.

A latest report via Metro has now revealed Manchester United will fine Cristiano Ronaldo at least £1million over the interview.

The interview which comes hours after Man Utd defeated Fulham, also saw the Portugal international blast manager Erik ten Hag and the club’s board.

Ronaldo did not play in the game against Fulham due to illness and had also missed the Carabao Cup win against Aston Villa on Thursday.

The forward had expressed his desire to leave Old Trafford last summer and was made to remain at the club as he was said to be in the new manager’s game plan.

Aside from being fined, there are new speculations that Ronaldo has likely played his last game for the Red Devils and he could be released before the January transfer window.

The Portugal captain had started and completed four matches before he gave the explosive interview.
