It’s done and dusted, Chelsea have completed the signature of Romelu Lukaku for a club record transfer fee.

The Premier League outfit paid Inter Milan a whopping £97.5million to ensure the Belgium international return to Stamford Bridge.

Lukaku, who has signed a five-year contract worth around £212,000 a week is returning to Stamford Bridge seven years after he was allowed to leave.

Despite failing to convince Chelsea board in his first spell, Blues director Granovskaia has faith in the 28-year-old to succeed in his second spell.

Speaking after Lukaku’s deal has been confirmed, Granovskaia stated that the Belgium international is quite simply one of the world’s best strikers and goalscorers.

She stated that Chelsea are absolutely delighted to be bringing him back to the club he loves, and are excited to be adding his talent to our Champions League-winning squad.

Granovskaia added that Chelsea are looking to build on last season’s success, and Lukaku will play a big role in achieving the targets.

Lukaku might be making his debut when Chelsea face Arsenal as the 2020/21 Serie A’s MVP will be missing the blues league opener against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
