With the summer transfer window set to close in the next coming days, Chelsea are reportedly set to make their last bid for Sevilla defender Jules Kounde.

Chelsea has been linked with Jules Kounde for the past few weeks as Thomas Tuchel wish to reshuffle his backline ahead of a new season.

The blues are set to compete for silverware in all competition and Thomas Tuchel want to have an option in each department on the field.

With the signature of Romelu Lukaku completed some days ago, a new report from Spanish publication claims Sevilla are getting set for another bid from Chelsea.

Chelsea in the past few weeks are trying to negotiate a deal that will involve a player and fee with Sevilla but the La Liga club prefers only cash.

Sevilla are eager to recoup €80 million release clause that’s on Kounde contract but the blues are not willing to fork out such fee after breaking their club record to sign Romelu Lukaku.

Chelsea started their season with a convincing victory over Crystal Palace and the highlight of the match was the emergence of Trevoh Chalobah.

Chalobah’s performance has got some fans asking the board not to pursue Kounde but allow their academy youngster stake a claim in the team.
