Chelsea are reportedly set to complete a deal for Sevilla defender Jules Kounde who has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur throughout this summer.

The arrival of Nuno Espirito Santo has brought a fresh hope to Tottenham Hotspur who are willing to strengthen their club in all department.

The London club are willing to shuffle their backline and Kounde has become a prime target this summer.

Earlier this month, there were reports that Tottenham had agreed a deal with Sevilla for Kounde, sending £25.5million plus Davinson Sanchez.

However, it was reported that Kounde rejected the move as he wanted to play Champions League football next season.

Chelsea are now set to hijack the deal.

According to popular journalist Fabrizio Romano, Kounde has agreed terms to sign for Chelsea until 2026.

Romano noted that Chelsea are now in advanced talks over a fee and the structure of the deal that might be announced in the next few days.

If Kounde completes the Stamford Bridge, Chelsea will be forced to let go of some youngster with Kurt Zouma tipped as the player to make way.
