Spanish club Real Madrid have reportedly set aside €102 million to sign Reece James from Chelsea.

The La Liga giants are keen on signing a right-back to replace Dani Carvajal in their starting lineup.

According to the reports, the Los Blancos have their eyes on the England international as the club’s President, Florentino Perez, wants him to take over from Carvajal this summer.

A report via Sportkeeda revealed Real Madrid are willing to pay €102 million to convince the Blues to sell the English star.

James’s current contract with the Blues doesn’t end until 2028, but Los Blancos’ astronomical offer could make the West London side consider.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will return to action this weekend when they face the Wolves in the Premier League.

They head to the match following a goalless draw against Liverpool on Tuesday and the arrival of a newly appointed interim manager Frank Lampard.
