Real Madrid to star Chelsea target as Mbappe’s alternative

Spanish club Real Madrid are said to be considering Chelsea target Dusan Vlahovic as an ideal alternative to Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe.

This comes after the Los Blancos reignited their interest in signing Mbappe this summer transfer window, who they consider a perfect replacement for Karim Benzema, who has moved to the Saudi Pro League.

Mbappe became a summer interest after he decided against extending his current contract with PSG beyond June 2024, as Real Madrid want to sign a top striker this summer.

Should Mbappe’s transfer not happen, the Los Blancos have identified Vlahovic, who has been linked with a move to Chelsea, and Victor Osimhen as potential targets, as per SER.

However, considering Napoli’s €150 million valuation for Osimhen, Real Madrid, who are not ready to pay the huge amount have turned their focus on luring Vlahovic from the Allianz Stadium to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid hope to sign the Serbian star on a season-long loan with an option to buy permanently at the end of the upcoming 2023-2024 season.
