Chelsea returned to action in the Premier League on Sunday when they played against Tottenham Hotspur.

The game ended in yet another defeat for the Blues as Tottenham won all three points after scoring two goals to nothing.

During the match, Chelsea defender and Brazil international Thiago Silva sustained an injury before a quarter of the game was played, having been hurt when challenging Tottenham star Harry Kane close to our goal.

The Blues manager Graham Potter in a post-match statement gave an early report of Silva’s condition who was replaced by Wesley Fofana as he revealed he has not gotten full details about it.

‘Hopefully, it’s not too serious but I haven’t spoken to the doctor enough to have a diagnosis yet,’ said Potter, who also reported that Mateo Kovacic was absent due to injury.

It would be a big blow for Chelsea if Silva suffers a major injury as more defeats could await them in their next games.
