Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is said to be planning to sign at least three new players in the forthcoming January transfer window.

A report via the UK Independent revealed Pochettino wants a defender, a midfielder and a striker in January.

The former Tottenham Hotspur manager believes the current squad at Chelsea is imbalanced and that height is an issue.

This is coming after Chelsea lost 2-0 to Everton last weekend, days after a 2-1 defeat at Manchester United.

The results which have seen the Blues drop to the 12th spot on the league table, have increased the pressure on Pochettino, although his job is not thought to be under “immediate threat”.

In a post-match statement after their defeat to Everton, Pochettino admitted he is looking to bring in fresh faces when the winter market opens.

Meanwhile, Pochettino has put seven players up for sale ahead of the January window.
