Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has told the club winger Mykhailo Mudryk to learn more about the Premier League as the English top domestic league is a fast one.

Since his move to Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in the January transfer window, Mudryk has struggled to justify his £88 million transfer fee the Blues paid to secure his signing.

While Mudryk has shown glimpses of his brilliance down the flanks, with his pace and dribbling skills, Chelsea still need more in terms of goals.

The Ukraine star is yet to score a goal for Chelsea in 21 games.

Speaking after Chelsea’s goalless draw with Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday, Pochettino insisted that Mudryk is ‘improving’ but emphasised that the player needs time.

“He [Mudryk] is improving. He still needs to learn in the Premier League, it is very fast,” Pochettino told Sky Sports.

“He needs to understand the game better, try to be more connected with the team sometimes. We need to give him time and tools for him to improve during the season.”
