Pochettino on Chelsea’s 1-1 draw vs Liverpool

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has shared his take on his side’s opener of the season where they face Liverpool.

Pochettino in a post-match statement claimed the Blues should have taken all three points against Liverpool on Sunday as he said the match was not fair to his side.

The Argentine has his first taste as Chelsea manager in the Premier League with a thrilling 1-1 draw with the Reds.

Axel Disasi’s debut goal helped the Blues cancel out Luis Diaz’s opener, with both sides having another goal ruled out for offside.

“I don’t believe it is [fair]. I think we deserved a little bit more overall. We feel pleased but at the same time disappointed because we wanted to win and we deserved to win, but it is only the beginning,” Pochettino told Match of the Day after the encounter.

Chelsea will hope to have their first win in their next game vs West Ham.
