Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino in a recent statement ahead of the Blues’ next game vs Brentford in the Premier League confirmed he made a “tough” decision on the goalkeeper to start.

Recall that Robert Sanchez made a return from injury during Chelsea’s game against Leeds in the FA Cup fifth round on Wednesday night.

Sanchez has emerged as Pochettino’s new No.1 following Kepa Arrizabalaga’s exit.

He, however, failed to impress as the injury he suffered during a defeat at Everton in December handed Petrovic a chance to shine.

Petrovic has seized his chance and has been one of his side’s best players throughout a difficult period for Pochettino.

When asked who would start against the Bees on Saturday, Pochettino said: “I don’t know if to tell or not to tell [you].

“They know already. Always is tough when you only need to pick 11.”
