There are no doubts that Crystal Palace star Michael Olise is one of the most wanted players this summer.

While Chelsea are keen on signing the winger, Newcastle United who are also interested in Olise, are, however, plotting other options if the Blues beat them to their target.

Chelsea are considering favourites to sign the 22-year-old, which is a blow to Newcastle.

The stumbling block is the £60 million Crystal Palace are demanding, which Chelsea are yet to come to terms with.

Meanwhile, recent reports claimed the Magpies may switch their attention to Chelsea winger Noni Madueke if the Blues sign Olise to Stamford Bridge.

Recall that Newcastle United narrowly missed out on the opportunity to play in a European tournament courtesy of Manchester United winning the FA Cup against Manchester City.

Should the Magpies fail to impress in the 2024-25 season by qualifying for European football, their funds will be impacted, which means it would be difficult for them to spend in the transfer market, as well as attract players to their side during negotiations.

While Chelsea will want to keep Madueke at Stamford Bridge, Newcastle will, however, have to be willing to pay at least £40m to convince the Blues to let him leave this summer transfer window
