Petit names Chelsea star that could end up as Drinkwater
Former Chelsea midfielder, Emmanuel Petit has shared his observation about the Blues star Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
In a recent statement, Petit issued warnings to Dewsbury-Hall over his current situation at Stamford Bridge.
Since joining the Blues in a deal worth £30 million from Leicester City, Dewsbury-Hall has endured a difficult spell at the West London club.
So far this season, he has failed to secure a regular spot under new manager Enzo Maresca.
Petit is of the opinion that Dewsbury-Hall is on the way to becoming the Danny Drinkwater’ at Chelsea.
The former football star in a statement via Casino Hawks said Dewsbury-Hall looked like Drinkwater at Chelsea.
He pointed out that the former player spent so much time on the bench that he had to be sent out on loan.
Petit believes the same fate away Dewsbury-Hall.
He stressed that if he were a footballer being targeted by Chelsea, he would be very careful about making a decision.
“If they don’t have confidence in you then you will end up on the bench and then in the stand and then gone. Be very careful when you join Chelsea,” Petit advised.
Dewsbury-Hall at some point may have to push for a transfer to another club where he is assured of game time.
