Manchester United also have their eyes on Ajax star Mohammed Kudus and there are now speculations they could still join Chelsea and Arsenal in the race for the Ghana star this summer.

However, this would only happen if they fail in their pursuit of signing Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund.

So far this summer transfer window, the Red Devils have signed Mason Mount and Andre Onana but they are now focused on signing a new number nine and are already in talks with Atalanta over Hojlund’s signature.

Man Utd are set to spend a maximum of £60million to sign Hojlund, who scored nine goals in the Italian Serie A last season.

But Atalanta want a bigger fee for the 20-year-old star.

While Hojlund is Man United manager, Erik ten Hag’s preferred choice, a report via The Times revealed that the Dutchman and the club’s hierarchy will consider alternatives if priced out of a transfer.

It is believed Man United will consider signing Kudus even though he does not play as an orthodox striker.

The Ghanaian star has mainly played as either a No.10 or right winger for both club and country.
