Chelsea star and American International Christian Pulisic in a statement has said nothing has changed in the Blues squad despite them signing Raheem Sterling from Manchester City.

According to Pulisic, Sterling’s arrival at Chelsea is a welcome competition that would make him work harder to earn a place in Thomas Tuchel’s squad.

Recall that Chelsea signed Sterling last week in a £47.5 million deal from Manchester City.

Pulisic since his £58m transfer from Borussia Dortmund in 2019, has not impressed at Chelsea the way fans had expected him to, placing doubts on his future at the club.

With the arrival of Sterling, Pulisic could see his game time reduce under Thomas Tuchel.

When Pulisic was asked how he felt about Chelsea’s decision to sign Sterling from Manchester City, he told ESPN: “Great quality. We’re really excited about it.

“The beautiful thing about being at a club like this is the competition every single day.

“We all thrive competing with each other in training and getting to play with each other is just another great addition to the team.

“It doesn’t change a whole lot [for me], I’m still going to have to play hard and earn my position, just like I did before, nothing crazy has changed.”
