Arsenal will on Sunday return to action in the Premier league after a successful outing in the Uefa Europa League.

On Sunday, the Gunners will welcome arch-rival, Tottenham Hotspurs at Emirate Stadium in a North London derby.

Ahead of the match, former Arsenal star and football pundit, Paul Merson has predicted a win for his former club.

Merson in a statement disclosed that Arsenal plays differently from the Hotspurs.

”I think Arsenal are favourites against them this weekend. I do,” Merson told the Daily Star.

He, however, stressed that if both teams play to the best of their ability, he declared that Arsenal win the game because their passing and movement is better.

Merson also noted that Tottenham Spurs rely too much on Harry Kane and Heung-min Son, and lately Gareth Bale while Arsenal are a different team to the one Spurs beat in December.

“Bukayo Saka is playing well. Willian looks like he has turned a corner. Nicolas Pepe had his best game yet against Leicester,” the former Gunners star noted.

Merson added that Emerick-Aubameyang is scoring goals again and looks much more confident, he, however, pointed out that Arsenal will have to keep the back door shut.

Arsenal are seven points behind Hotspur on the log.
