Man City coach, Pep Guardiola in the latest statement has revealed the club doesn’t have any regret for letting go of England international Jadon Sancho.

Sancho, who was groomed at Man City academy as a teenager turned down the club extension offer back in 2017 and went on to sign for German side Borussia Dortmund.

However, since joining Dortmund, Sancho has become a key player in the German league and has been flourishing.

And now that Borussia Dortmund have been paired against Man City in the Uefa Champions League, the 20-year-old could play against his former club when they meet next month.

I’ve said many times, it is not a regret,” said City manager Guardiola.

“He decides. He’s doing really well. Congratulations, he’s an exceptional player, Guardiola added.

The Man City coach revealed the club wanted him to stay but he decided to leave, and when people decide to leave all the club can do is to let them leave.

“I wish him all the best, except when he plays against us. No regrets at all. If he’s happy, I’m happy,” Guardiola stressed.

Sancho was sold to Dortmund for £8million but he was reportedly valued at £108million by the German side when Manchester United was linked with a move for him last summer.
