Newcastle manager, Eddie Howe, has reacted to the reports which claim Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo could return to the EPL by joining the club if they qualify for the Champions League.

There have been speculations that Ronaldo has a clause in his Al Nassr contract, that will allow him to return to the Premier League and play for the Magpies next season.

However, ahead of their Tuesday night’s match against Arsenal, Howe denied that there is such an agreement.

“We wish Cristiano all the best in his venture, but, from our point of view, there’s no truth in that,” Howe said.

In another report, Ronaldo was officially unveiled by the Saudi Arabia club earlier on Tuesday and he had revealed he had offers from Brazil and the US.

Recall that Chelsea were also linked with moves for the Portuguese star.
