Thomas Tuchel era at Chelsea has begun in a good form as the Blues have been able to keep two consecutive clean sheets as well as getting four points out of a possible six.

The blues were struggling under Frank Lampard despite being the highest spender during the summer transfer window as brought in the likes of Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech.

Thomas Tuchel who was just sacked by Paris Saint-Germain four months after leading them to the UEFA Champions League final where they lost to Bayern Munich was appointed as the new manager of Chelsea.

Entrusted to steady the sinking ship, Tuchel was given an 18 months deal but a new revelation has surfaced on the deal he signed with Chelsea.

According to a new report by Daily Mail, Tuchel will be given a new contract if he’s able to keep Chelsea in Europe’s top club competitions for the next two seasons.

Chelsea have identified the UEFA Champions League as an important competition they have to partake in so as not to lose their prestige in Europe.

The reports added that owner Roman Abramovic wants to avoid the huge compensation pay-outs the club has shelled out to managers in the past and its part of a move towards incentivised contracts.
