Mudryk slammed for not showing nothing after expensive move to Chelsea

Former Arsenal star Paul Merson in a recent statement stressed that Chelsea’s new signing, Mykhailo Mudryk has ‘shown nothing’ since he joined the Blues for €100 million (£88.5m) in the January transfer window.

Recall that the West London side were said to have hijacked the Ukraine star when it appeared he was on his way to Arsenal during the January transfer window.

After making an impressive cameo against Liverpool in his debut for Chelsea, the 22-year-old has yet to register a goal or an assist in five appearances.

And Merson is of the opinion that the Ukrainian should be firing on all cylinders for the price Chelsea paid to bring him to the EPL.

“They brought Mykhailo Mudryk for £88m and, bar a cameo of 20 minutes, he’s shown nothing. I mean nothing,” he told Sky Sports.

“You wouldn’t expect to need time to settle in at that price.”

Mudryk is likely to start when Chelsea play against Tottenham this weekend.
