Former Chelsea coach and current Tottenham Hotspur coach, Jose Mourinho has reacted to the sacking of Frank Lampard as Chelsea coach.

Recall that the Blues fired Lampard on Monday a few days to the end of the January transfer window.

Reacting to Lampard’s situation, Mourinho who coached the English star during his playing career at Stamford Bridge stressed that he doesn’t think Lampard would want to talk to him or anyone just yet.

Mourinho made this known in a post-match statement after Tottenham booked their place in the FA Cup fifth round, following a 4-1 win at Wycombe.

Lampard, who played under Mourinho at Stamford Bridge from 2004-2007 and then again in 2013, when he won two Premier League titles, two Carabao Cups, an FA Cup and a Community Shield was sack after 18 months at Chelsea.

“He is an important person in my career so I feel sorry he did,” the Portuguese said.

Mourinho, however, stated that it was bound to happen as that is the brutality of modern football.
