Former Chelsea winger, Florent Malouda, has sent a message to the club’s midfielder Mason Mount on his future.

Malouda in his statement urged Mount to turn down moves to Premier League rivals Liverpool but instead sign a new contract and remain at Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool are one of the clubs that have taken interest in Mount whose contract with the Blues would end in less than 18 months.

As of now, Mount is yet to extend his contract with Chelsea and there are claims he could leave the club this summer.

Molouda advised Mount to fight for his spot in Chelsea’s first-team squad.

“Mason Mount should snub Liverpool and stay at Chelsea,” Malouda told DAZN Bet.

“I don’t think Mason Mount should leave Chelsea. It should be part of your mentality and spirit that when you are at a club like Chelsea, there’s strong competition.

“Mount is like the DNA for Chelsea, he loves the club. When you look at his performances since he got into the first team, playing lots of games for club and country, it is normal that physically, you need to recover and regenerate.
