Monaco defender set for Chelsea medical

Monaco centre-back, Benoit Badiashile is set to undergo a medical at Chelsea ahead of his transfer to the west London club, according to Sky Sports reports.

The report revealed that a complete agreement has been reached between Chelsea and Monaco to see Badiashile make a transfer to Stamford Bridge for a fee of around £35million.

The Blues have been looking to sign a left-footed centre-back since the end of last season and opened talks over a move for Badiashile in December.

Recall that Chelsea was in advanced talks to sign Badiashile, 21, despite their manager Graham Potter not coming out straight on the Frenchman’s potential arrival to the Premier League giants.

Potter is keen on strengthening the Blues’ defence line as they hope to make it back to the top four on the EPL table.

Chelsea are currently seated at the 9th spot on the EPL table after their draw against Nottingham Forest.
