Mbappe announces exit from PSG amid links to Madrid, Chelsea and Arsenal
PSG forward and France international made caused a buzz in the football world on Friday after he announced he would be leaving the French club at the end of the season.
Mbappe in a video he released via his social media pages on Friday to make the official announcement.
While the 25-year-old is now expected to join Spanish club Real Madrid ahead of the new season, he has also been at one point on the other linked to Premier League clubs Chelsea and Arsenal.
Earlier this year, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta had toyed with the media about Arsenal making a move for the France forward.
Chelsea on the other hand will find it hard to convince Mbappe to move to Stamford Bridge as they wouldn’t be playing the UEFA Champions League next season.
It is yet to be known if Real Madrid, who are on the verge of winning another UCL trophy will sign Mbappe.
Meanwhile, PSG next game against Toulouse at the Parc des Princes on Sunday is expected to be Mbappe’s final home game.
His final fixture for the Ligue 1 giants is scheduled to be the French Cup final against Lyon on May 15.
Mbappe in the video said he would not extend his contract at PSG, confirming that his adventure will come to an end in a few weeks.
