Maresca speaks on Mudryk’s performance, game time
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has also addressed Ukraine winger Mykhailo Mudryk’s performance at Chelsea so far.
Since his arrival at Stamford Bridge, Mudrky has been unable to impress for the Blues and despite the change of manager this season, the midfielder has continue to struggle.
At some point during this season, he was linked with a January exit away from Chelsea.
While speaking about the midfielder in his pre-match statement ahead of their UEFA Europa Conference League Vs Belgian side Gent, Maresca said he doesn’t think Mudrky lacked confidence.
According to the Blues manager, Mthe winger needs to improve something on himself like the rest of his teammates.
Despite his struggles, Maresca added that Chelsea are happy with the way he is working.
Maresca also dismissed claims that the Ukrainian lacked game time at Chelsea.
The Blues boss said Mudrky played from the start against Wolves in the Premier League.
He noted that every player in the squad want to play from the start but sometimes it is impossible.
Maresca who praised Mudryk for his performance against Barrow, hinted that the winger could get a chance to play against Gent on Thursday, same as Christopher Nkunku.
