Maresca speaks on Jadon Sancho’s form

Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, in a recent statement spoke about Jadon Sancho’s performance so far this season.

Maresca disclosed that he is “quite surprised” with Sancho’s performances of this season.

Recall that Sancho arrived at Stamford Bridge om a season-long loan from Man Utd on deadline day last summer.

Sancho departed Old Trafford after his career appeared to have stalled under former Man United manager, Erik ten Hag.

Upon his arrival at Chelsea, there were doubts he would recapture his form under Maresca, given the numerous options already available for the manger to pick from.

But Sancho’s move to Chelsea has turned out to be a good one for him as he seems to have emerged as Maresca’s first-choice on the left-wing at Stamford Bridge.

Since making his debut for the Blues, Sancho has registered eight goal involvements across all competitions.

Maresca in his statement revealed that Sancho is doing very well for him.

“I am quite surprised with Jadon. I knew Jadon already so knew what to expect from him but in terms of being consistent,” the Blues boss said.

He added that Sancho is doing well aside from a short spell of the season where he had some problems, missing some games due to illness in November.
