Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has reacted as the Blues completed moves for their latest signing Pedro Neto.

Recall that Neto was officially unveiled to the Stamford Bridge crowd during the Blues 1-1 draw with Italian side Inter Milan in a pre-season game on Sunday.

According to the report, the Portugal winger arrived at Stamford Bridge from Wolves for an initial £51.4m fee and a further £2.6m (€3m) in add-ons.

The winger also penned a seven years deal with the Blues and is expected to commence training with his new teammates as soon as possible.

Maresca in a post-match statement highlighted the qualities the 24-year-old will add to his team.

The Blues described Neto as an excellent addition to Chelsea as he can help them by offering many things.

Maresca stressed that the winger can play on the right and left side and very good playing one-on-one.

The manager added that Chelsea need a big squad and he is excited to have Pedro.

Meanwhile, Pedro could get a nod to start for Chelsea when they play against Premier League champions Manchester City in their first game of the new season next weekend at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues will hope to defeat City or at least hold them to a draw.
