Ahead of the summer transfer window, Chelsea left-back defender, Marcos Alonso has been linked with moves away from Stamford Bridge to Inter Milan.

According to the reports, former Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte who is currently in charge at San Siro is keen on reuniting with Alonso in the Seria A.

There are indications that Alonso will prefer a move to Italy as he was a key player during the days of Conte at Chelsea and will be hoping to get the same treatment at San Siro.

While he is getting playing chances under Thomas Tuchel, he however still has to compete for a spot with Ben Chilwell.

This would be different in Italy as Ashley Young who plays the role will be moving to Watford in the summer transfer window.

This means there will be a vacant spot at Inter Milan which he can fill up.

According to Todofichajes, the Inter boss is, therefore, keen to prise Alonso away from Stamford Bridge, and the 30-year-old would welcome a reunion with his former manager in Serie A.

The report adds that Inter first made contact with Chelsea over a deal for Alonso last summer, and they are confident that it will work out in their favour this time around.
