Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has shared his opinion on Chelsea’s chances of winning the Premier League title after their second consecutive league defeat.

Chelsea lost to a determined Wolves on Tuesday night just days after they lost to Everton and this has raised eyebrows on their abilities to compete with the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester City.

Lampard told to drop this forward due to poor finishing

Paul Scholes has now stated his belief on the London club as he noted that Chelsea are not ready for a title challenge this year but could be serious contenders next season.

Speaking on Amazon Prime, Scholes said a lack of creativity in midfield could be their undoing this season.

The former England International noted that he think Chelsea lack a little bit of creativity on the pitch.

Paul Scholes stated that N’Golo Kante does what he does brilliantly well and he’s got two young players next to him in Mason Mount and Kai Havertz, but he believe they can do better.

He added that Chelsea will be up there, close to Manchester City and Liverpool but he thinks they are not that ready.

Frank Lampard and his young Chelsea team will be eager to prove a point when they meet London rival, West Ham, in their next Premier League clash.
