Manchester United far apart in negotiation with European giant for Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba’s future at Manchester United have been under the spotlight ever since the transfer window open with the Frenchman linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The former Juventus midfielder is reportedly willing to return to France with Paris Saint-Germain also keen to recruit Pogba this summer, who has entered the final year of his contract.

However, a new report from Le Parisien has indicated that Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are not moving closer to agreeing any deal.

The report state that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are holding out for a fee in excess of £63m but they would prefer to receive close to £85m.

However, PSG only valued the midfielder at around £42m and are not willing to pay more than that.

United paid £89m to acquire the service of Paul Pogba from Juventus back in 2016 and believe their valuation of the world cup winner is fair.

PSG on the other side are not prepared to pay such a fee for a player with less than 12 months on his contract, and would be willing to wait a year to potentially sign him for free.

Pogba has become an important player for Manchester United ever since he joined from Juventus, making 199 appearances across all competitions, scoring 38 goals and providing 42 assists.
