Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling has revealed that he hopes the arrival of Jack Grealish at the club will help him increase his goal tally.

The citizens completed the signature of Jack Grealish for a British record £100million and he made his debut in their loss to Leicester City in the Community Shield.

With City set to defend the Premier League they won in style last season, Sterling is looking forward to linking up with Grealish.

Both players have been having a good time with the national team but Sterling believes Grealish will help him more at City.

Speaking to journalist ahead of the their league opener, Sterling stated that City have signed a great player and someone that wants to prove himself at the highest level.

Sterling noted that he does not think there is any better club for Grealish to try and play at the highest level than Manchester City.

According to Sterling, Grealish is a player that always wants the ball, he gets in good pockets of space and he is creative.

Sterling added that it adds another creative player to this team which he is really excited about so hopefully Grealish can add a few more goals to his tally.

Sterling netted just 14 times in all competitions for Pep Guardiola’s side last season, 17 less than the 2019-20 campaign.
