Man Utd told to sign Chelsea outcast

Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke in a recent statement advised the club to sign Chelsea outcast Romelu Lukaku this summer.

According to Yorke, Lukaku, who is not in the Blues manager Mauricio Pochettino’s plans this season, is a proven goalscorer, as he told Man United to consider a short-term deal for him this summer.

Lukaku was at Old Trafford for two years from 2017 to 2019.

He scored 42 goals across 96 matches in all competitions.

The Belgian star spent last season on loan at Inter Milan before he made a return with a second stint at Chelsea.

But Chelsea are keen to offload Lukaku this summer.

Yorke told OLBG: “Romelu Lukaku is absolutely still good enough to play for a top-six club. I think Man United or Tottenham should take Lukaku on a short-term loan deal and agree to pay a certain amount of his wages.

“As much as people say about Lukaku, he has a very impressive goalscoring record, and he doesn’t get as much credit as he deserves. Lukaku is still only 30 years old and a proven goalscorer, I think whoever gets him on a short loan deal will have done good and subtle business.”
