The recent report has revealed that Manchester United are already working out moves to sign a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo whose contract they recently terminated.

Man Utd are said to be planning a €50million offer for PSV Eindhoven forward, Cody Gakpo, in the January transfer window.

There are speculations that Gakpo is manager, Erik ten Hag’s top target as he looks forward to beefing up his attack following Ronaldo’s departure.

This means Man Utd are currently left with Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford as the only senior players capable of leading the line.

A report via The Telegraph revealed Man United are ready to make a formal offer for Gakpo and see him as the ideal replacement for Ronaldo.

The Red Devils have a long-standing interest in the Netherlands international and discussed a move in the summer but they eventually decided to buy Brazilian winger Antony from Ajax for £87.1million.
