Man Utd linked with move for Chelsea flop

The recent report from German media revealed Man Utd have inquired about former Chelsea player Timo Werner.

This would be one of the most unexpected transfers that could take place in the January transfer window, which is some weeks away.

Aside from Man Utd, Werner has also been linked with moves to Spanish side Real Madrid.

The German, who returned to Bundesliga side RB Leipzig in 2022 for just €20 million, struggled to impress in the EPL with Chelsea.

Werner’s lack of impact at Stamford Bridge and the intense media scrutiny put him in the spotlight.

However, the 27-year-old has seen his game time with the Red Bulls diminish after they made the big-money move for Lois Openda and Benjamin Sesko.

Werner, who is now a rotation player, is said to be unhappy with his situation and this stirred speculations about his exit.
