Arsenal are the latest Premier League side to drop their interest in Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, according to the reports.

The Gunners are joining Chelsea to rule out interest in the Nigerian forward due to his expensive €130m price tag amid player swap rumours.

After four seasons at Napoli, Osimhen had hoped to leave the Partenopei this summer.

However, he had agreed on a new contract last December until the summer of 2026 but it included a release clause worth around €130m (£110.6m), which many clubs including Arsenal and Chelsea are unwilling to pay.

It was previously reported that Chelsea’s new boss Enzo Maresca has spoken against the signing of the 25-year-old as he does not believe that Osimhen is a striker who can link play and drop deep, which is his style of football.

With Arsenal and Chelsea now out of the race to sign Osimhen, the only club left is French side PSG who consider the Nigerian a perfect replacement for Kylian Mbappe who joined Spanish giants Real Madrid this summer.

However, Osimhen is unwilling to return to the French Ligue 1 as he favours a move to the Premier League instead.
