Ligue 1 side join AC Milan in race to sign in-form Chelsea forward

Chelsea striker Oliver Giroud might be making a move back to France as he has been eyes by Olympique Marseille who are ready to battle it out with AC Milan for his signature.

Giroud’s future at Chelsea has been a topic of discussion for the past few weeks.

The 34 years old has caught the attention of top European teams with his good scoring run with the likes of AC Milan ready to sign him as a possible replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

With Euro 2021 in sight, Giroud has been reported to be eyeing a move away from Stamford Bridge so as to get a short at being named as one of the 23 players that will lead France National Team.

According to reports by French outlet Le10 Sport (h/t ESPN), Olympique Marseille are eager to bring the former Arsenal forward back to the Ligue 1.

Oliver Giroud earlier spent two seasons at Montpellier HSC, with whom he won the league in 2012 and he will not have any problem adapting to the new environment.

In another report, all eyes will be on Giroud during Chelsa’s clash vs. West Ham, that is coach Frank Lampard decides to give him a chance to start tonight.
