Leicester City are determined to keep their defender and France international Wesley Fofana this summer and are not ready to let anything including money make them loosen their grip on the player.

This comes from a report via the Telegraph UK that revealed that the Foxes have turned once again turned down Chelsea’s bid for Fofana, which is worth £70 million.

Leicester City had earlier turned down two of the Blues’ bids for the Frenchman turned down.

Chelsea’s latest offer of £70 million plus add-ons is a big transfer blow for the Thomas Tuchel-led side who are keen on signing a new defender this summer.

The report revealed that Leicester City  value the 21-year-old for more than £80m, which is the current world record fee for a defender.

With a few days left to the end of the summer window, Chelsea may have to look elsewhere for a new target or up their bid to match with Leicester City’s demand.

We will have to see how these play out as the Blues have only signed two key defenders this summer in the persons of Marc Cucurella and Kalidou Koulibaly.
