Chelsea outgoing manager Frank Lampard in a recent statement has revealed his next plan as his short term deal with the club ends.

Lampard said he would be taking a break after the end of his contract.

Recall that the former England star was handed the Blues job on a temporary basis after Graham Potter was sacked.

But Chelsea continued to struggle under the ex-England midfielder as they finished the campaign in the 12th spot on the league table, closer to the relegation zone than the Champions League places.

“I’ll have a break, it has been quite intense. I wasn’t in that mode, I had to get in the mode.

“I’ve given it my all, we’ll see what happens,” Lampard, who was sacked at Everton earlier in the season, said.

The Blues ended the season with 44 points, their lowest tally since 1987-88 when they were relegated.
