Lampard shares positive update about Chelsea’s injury crisis ahead of Manchester City clash

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has given a fresh update about his team injury worries as they prepare to face Manchester win in their first match of 2021.

Frank Lampard and his team could not finish 2020 on a high as they’ve failed to convince fans with performance, losing three, drawing one and winning just one in their last 2020 matches.

A tie against Manchester City in their first game in 2021 is not one Chelsea fans would have bargained for but Frank Lampard will be having his star winger Hakim Ziyech back in the team.

Hakim Ziyech has not been in the Chelsea team ever since he got injured in his team win over Leeds at Stamford Bridge some weeks ago but Lampard during his press conference stated he should be match fit.

Lampard noted that the Moroccan international is fit to train as he’s trained for the last two or three days before adding that he will make the decision as to whether he is ready to start.

However, it’s not a good news on the injury of defender Reece James as he has been ruled out with a hamstring injury although Lampard says it is not too serious.
