Many had expected Chelsea former boss and England star Frank Lampard to take up his next coaching job at Norwich City.

This comes as Lampard ass among the favourites to replace Daniel Farke at Carrow Road, with some reports suggesting he had already had an interview with the club manager.

However, the latest report has claimed that the former Chelsea boss has pulled out of the race to become Norwich City’s next manager.

This comes as a surprise as Lampard had been without a coaching job since his sack at Chelsea last season.

The English man was replaced at Stamford Bridge by Thomas Tuchel after the Blues dropped out of the top four on the EPL table.

However, after Lampard’s sack, Chelsea went on to win the Uefa Champions League last season and are currently seated at the top of the EPL table in 11 matches.

With Lampard turning down Norwich City’s offer, the club will have to focus on signing former Aston Villa coach Dean Smith who was recently sacked and replaced by Steven Gerrard a few days ago.
