Chelsea returned to action on Saturday when they played against Wolves in the EPL under their interim manager Frank Lampard which ended in a 1-0 defeat.

Lampard in a post-match statement stated that some of the players in the squad don’t have a history of scoring goals.

The defeat to Wolves comes as Lampard began his second stint in charge of Chelsea.

Wolves were able to win all three points thanks to the lone goal from Matheus Nunes in the first half of the match.

With the look of things, the Blues will find it hard to make their way back into the top six at least as they recorded their 11th loss of this Premier League season.

On problems in front of goal, Lampard said: “We have to find the reasons and solutions for that.

“The only way I know is to work. We have to give some credit to players but some players here haven’t got a history of scoring goals, maybe fresh to the league or are new players.

“You have to give them time and work with them. At the same time, we’re Chelsea and want to score goals and win games so we have to find a solution to that.”
