Chelsea’s interim manager, Frank Lampard in a statement stated that he has “no problem” with the club’s owners visiting the dressing room.

This is coming after Todd Boehly lashed out at the players and told them their season has been “embarrassing” after Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat to Brighton.

Speaking on Monday ahead of their UCL second-leg match against Real Madrid, Lampard said: “I have no problem with it from my point of view.

“I had the things I wanted to say after the game. If the owner wants to come in be positive, speak to the players.

“Like Kepa has said there, it can be very regular in the modern day. No problem.

“In fact, it shows passion and that’s the first thing I like.”

The Blues would hope to emerge winners against Real Madrid tonight as a defeat means they wouldn’t be playing European football next season.

Their likelihood of finishing in the top four on the EPL table is out of it.
