Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is already eyeing the January transfer window as he noted that he has ideas of what to do.

Frank Lampard was given the backing he needed during the last transfer window as Chelsea were the biggest spender in the Premier League.

The Blues brought in Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Eduardo Mendy, Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell and some young players who were loaned out to gain more experience.

However, the Blues are not having the season they would have bargained for as they are currently stuck in sixth place on the table and they’ve been linked with top players in Europe.

Lampard while speaking to the press conference ahead of his team meeting against Manchester City noted that he has ideas of what he needs to do in the transfer window.

Asked how he saw the January window panning out, Lampard stated that he’s not sure at the moment but he has ideas.

He noted that the club currently has a big squad and he has to see if that changes, if there are opportunities for players that aren’t playing so much.

That’ll be a conversation between the player and himself and then the club will see if they can strengthen in the right way.

However, Lampard insisted that he will not be jumping up and down to do so at the moment as his focus this year is purely on work, adding that it’s a long month.
