Kalidou’s goal named Chelsea’s goal of the month

Chelsea summer signing Kalidou Koulibaly is already making some fast progress at Stamford Bridge.

Koulibaly, who joined the Blues from the Italian side Napoli in the recent summer transfer window has seen his goal against Tottenham named Chelsea’s goal for the month of August.

The defender made his home debut in some style, volleying Marc Cucurella’s corner into the Shed End net during the match against the Hotspurs in August.

Koulibaly’s goal got more than 50 per cent of the vote, with Raheem Sterling’s maiden Chelsea effort against Leicester last Saturday coming close in the second spot in a poll of Blues supporters on the official website and the 5th Stand app.

In another report, Chelsea defeated West Ham United in their weekend match in a 2-1 win thanks to goals from Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell.

The Blues will now focus their attention on their next game which is against Dinamo Zagreb in the Uefa Champions League.
