Italian side Juventus have turned down Chelsea’s swap deal that would see them offer Romelu Lukaku and Ruben Loftus-Cheek in a deal for their striker Dusan Vlahovic, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

With Chelsea set to offload some of their players to balance their books after spending €700 million in the last two transfer windows,  the Blues are in a race to make some transfers.

The report revealed Chelsea are in talks over sale of players like Mateo Kovacic and Mason Mount, who have been linked with moves to Manchester City and Manchester United, respectively as both clubs are keen on signing them.

Aside from selling some of their players, Chelsea are also keen to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2023-2024 season in a bid to support their new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Vlahovic is considered one of the Blues’ favourite targets in their attack as the west London club discussed the possibility of signing the Serbia international during a meeting with Juventus’ sporting director Giovanni Manna in London.

But the Old Ladies were quick to turn the proposal, citing that they are not interested in any swap deal for Vlahovic.
