Jorginho reveals what he told German star before his move from Chelsea to Arsenal

Arsenal midfielder and Italy star Jorginho in a recent statement opened up on how he convinced Kai Havertz to leave Stamford Bridge for the Gunners this summer.

Recall that Havertz switched over to the north London side this summer, bringing an end to his three-year spell with Chelsea.

Arsenal were able to sign him in a deal worth £65 million.

Before his switch to Arsenal, Havertz had been linked with a return to the Bundesliga before Arsenal showed interest in him.

Jorginho revealed he quickly contacted his former teammate when he heard about the transfer rumours.

Recall that Jorginho, who signed for Chelsea from Napoli spent five years at Stamford Bridge before joining Arsenal in January.

Jorginho told The Arsenal Tour Diary, “It’s very nice. When I heard there was a possibility, I called him straight away. I said, ‘Is this true?’ He said, ‘Yeah, it’s possible’. I was like, ‘You need to come!’

“I just wanted the best for everyone. Everyone wins. He wins because it’s a good project for him, and it’s going to be amazing for the club and the team as well. So it was a win-win.”
