It’s unbelievable Man City let him leave – Chelsea star applauded
Former Manchester United star, Gary Neville in a recent statement spoke about how Chelsea attacking midfielder, Cole Palmer has shocked him during his time at Stamford Bridge so far.
Neville lauded Palmer for his impressive form while expressing surprise at Manchester City for letting the youngster leave.
Recall that Palmer exited Man City and joined Chelsea for a fee of £42.5 million.
The English player scored 27 goals and created 15 assists in 48 matches across all competitions in his very first season.
Despite the Blues woes last season under former manager Mauricio Pochettino, Palmer won the PFA Young Player of the Year award and Chelsea’s Player of the Year award.
He has maintained his form this season, having scored all four goals in the Blues’ 4-2 win over Brighton on Saturday.
When asked if Palmer is best player in the Premier League on NBC Sports, Neville said, the Blues youngster is not far off with his impressive display for Chelsea.
Neville stressed that it was ridiculous that Neville didn’t for England in the European Championship in the summer.
He also stated that Man City lost a key player by letting Palmer leave to join Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Palmer could be back in action when Chelsea take on Gent in the Europa Conference League come Thursday.
